Liberty Design Co. offers a line
of stencils, paints and brushes of the highest quality for the
individual seeking a classic and traditional style.
The designs are taken from architectural
details, textiles and tapestries and original walls stenciled
two hundred years ago. Many of the designs have historical significance,
enhancing a room with their simplicity and classic pattern.
While rooted in history, the stencils are cut by the latest
technology of the CO2 laser so that each pattern is completely
cut out with a clean line. Register marks are programmed to ensure
the exact placement of overlays. To make the stencils both durable
and flexible, four mil. polyester film is used. Two pages of
instructions are included in each package.
The acrylic paints have the appearance
of the dusty milk paint used in the eighteenth century. Colors
are specially mixed to simulate the warm, mellow tones of the
past. Water based paint was chosen because it dries immediately,
makes clean-up easy, and may be mixed due to its liquid form.
More importantly, it is less harmful to the environment than
are oil based products.
The natural bristle brushes may be used on
all surfaces. They disperse the paint evenly and thoroughly,
offering the ability to shade with ease.
